Born in Stevenage, in the county of Hertfordshire (England). He began playing football at the academy of Luton Football Club. However, he was quickly noticed by the scouts of the London Arsenal and in 2001 he moved to the camp of the gunners. Before the 2008/09 season, at the age of 16, he appeared in the application for Arsenal. He made his debut on 13 September against Blackburn, with Wilshere coming on as a substitute in the 84th minute. At that time, the football player was only 16 years 256 days old. Jack became Arsenal's youngest debutant in the Premier League. On 23 September, Wilshere scored his first goal for Arsenal against Sheffield United (6-0) in the League Cup. Later, Wilshere managed to play a little in the Champions League, coming on as a substitute in matches with Dynamo Kyiv and with the Portuguese Porto. On 5 January 2009, Wilshere signed his first professional contract with Arsenal. At the same time, he stopped appearing in the first team, playing mainly for the reserves and youth team. With the latter, Wilshere went on to win the FA Youth Cup with superb performance in two finals against Liverpool. In the first half of the 2009/10 season, Wilshere had little chance of playing for the first team. Therefore, on January 29, 2010, Arsene Wenger decided to send Jack on loan until the end of the season so that the young midfielder would have more match practice.

He was injured for most of his time at the club, but according to the player himself, he was often in good shape but was not selected to play. On January 18, 2021, Wilshere joined the English football club Bournemouth. The 29-year-old has signed a short-term contract until the end of the season.

Short review
In the current season, he had little game practice. In those matches that he took part, he was used mainly as an attacking midfielder in a 4-3-3 formation and a creative defensive midfielder in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Versatile midfielder, who is able to play in any position in the middle. He has excellent technical skills, good vision pf the field and he is able to make a pass of any difficulty. Jack actively interacts with partners and shows himself at a high level in creating chances and playing between the lines. The player is not distinguished by big size and athleticism. He is below average in power challenges and has problems in single combats with larger opponents.
Plays with his head up and constantly evaluates the position of the players on the field. Able to see an unobvious corridor in the final third of the field and in the central zone. He notices the opening of partners, and can also prompt or direct the player of his team where to run to receive the ball.
Vision of the field
The player beats his opponents due to the sharpness of movements and good ball control. The dribbling arsenal is not very varied, but quite effective (about 62% success rate). Able to beat in compact spaces and at low speed, swinging the opponent. Actively promotes the ball through individual passes in the final third of the field.
Dribbling
He has a diverse passing arsenal; the culture of short / medium passes is at a good level. Able to make a high-quality long pass, a diagonal to the flank, a through pass, to perform a successful throw behind the back of the defenders. A good level of technical skills allows the player to perform passes that are difficult to execute. In average per 90 minutes, Wilshere shows 84% of accurate passes, which is a good indicator for a player who wants to play sharply and as quickly as possible.
Passing
+ + +
This season, he practically does not participate in the completion of his team's attacks and rarely hits on goal. In average per 90 minutes, he makes 0.35 shots on goal, of which only 33% are accurate. A similar pattern was observed last season, when the player played for Bournemouth. However, it is worth noting that in those rare moments when a player shot at goal, the quality of the shots was at a high technical level.
Finishing
Thanks to a high level of understanding of the game, Wilshere successfully closes the corridors for the opponent's passes. However, he does not often actively enter into pressure. This season, the player often shows his presence near the opponent in possession of the ball, rather than actually attacking him.
Pressing
He does not avoid the challenges and is not afraid to join it, however, in power challenges with more powerful and dimensional opponents, the lack of athleticism significantly affects, and therefore is not able to effectively fight shoulder to shoulder without losing stability on his feet.
Challenges
Doesn't put the foot firmly enough to make a tackle. Makes mistakes in correctly determining the moment to enter the tackle. Tackles only due to better sharpness and starting speed, blocking the opponent's path to the ball. In the current season, he has only 31% of the success of the tackles.
Tackling
The anthropometry and physical data of the player do not allow him to successfully fight in the center of the field. With tight marking or contact with an opposing player, Wilsher cannot push his opponent or push his body away from the ball. Recently, he rarely plays full matches. It is difficult to say whether this is due to low endurance or high trauma, or both.
Physical data /
Stamina
Jack has good starting speed. Due to the first steps, he gains good speed, which allows him not only to move away from his opponents, but also to successfully play ahead and intercept the ball. However, on longer distances (starting from 7 meters) it is not able to keep the speed at the same level as during the starting steps. Due to the low center of gravity, the player is well coordinated and plastic. Which allows him to quickly and abruptly change the position of the body in space.
Speed and Coordination
Able to control the ball equally well both in tight spaces and in high-speed dribbling. In high-density conditions, controls the ball due to the quick work of light legs. With high-speed dribbling, he correctly assesses the distance to opponents and his own speed, touches the ball for each step, rarely releases the ball too far from himself, throwing it to the maximum possible, but convenient distance for himself.
First touch /
ball control
It is recommended to sign a player based on his strengths and significant experience playing at the highest level.
At the moment, if we evaluate Wilshere in the realities of Russian football, then the current level of a football player corresponds to the level that meets the minimum requirements for the starting XI of Russian top clubs. However, given his age, low playing tone and a number of disadvantages, his level of play is expected to decline every year. Wilshere has fully realized its potential and the likelihood of its further resale is extremely small.
The Englishman has a natural talent and a bright head for playing in the center of the field, but the high injury rate throughout his career did not allow the player to fully develop. In the early years of his game, experts from around the world predicted a bright future for the young player in such European giants as Barcelona and Real Madrid. However, as has been repeatedly said before, annual injuries with long-term eliminations ruined his career.
Jack Wilshere is a center field player with developed creative skills. He has an excellent ball control, good vision of the field and has a diverse passing arsenal. This season, he does not show himself in the best way in finishing, and also looks faded in challenges and pressing. Partly due to the lack of playing tone due to frequent injuries and little playing time over the past few seasons.
